FAQ

Common questions

What is corrective exercise therapy?

Corrective exercise therapy is a specialist approach that identifies and addresses the root causes of pain, postural imbalance, and movement dysfunction — rather than simply treating symptoms. Our certified therapists use evidence-based assessment and targeted exercise protocols.

How do I know if I need a postural assessment?

If you experience recurring back, neck, or joint pain, poor posture, limited mobility, or are returning from injury, a postural assessment is the best starting point. It gives us a clear picture of your movement patterns before we design any programme.

Do I need to be a member to book a session?

No — all single sessions are open to non-members. Membership tiers offer better value for ongoing programmes, access to the video library, and priority booking. You can start with a single assessment and upgrade later.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payment is made at the centre on the day of your session via M-Pesa, Mastercard, or Visa. For packages and memberships, online payment is available through our secure checkout.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions must be cancelled at least 12 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full. We understand that emergencies happen — please contact us via WhatsApp as early as possible if you need to reschedule.

How is corrective exercise different from physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy typically treats a specific injury or condition — once you are out of acute pain, treatment usually ends. Corrective exercise therapy starts where physio leaves off, addressing the movement patterns that caused the injury and building lasting resilience so it does not return.

How long before I see results?

Most clients feel measurable change within 4–6 weeks of consistent work. Lasting structural change typically takes 3–6 months. We run progress reviews every 4 weeks so you see the numbers, not just our opinion.

Can I do sessions virtually?

Yes. Our Hybrid membership includes video-based programming, and we offer virtual ergonomics consultations globally. However, the initial postural assessment is best done in person at our Westlands centre so we can capture the data accurately.

Do you work with athletes and runners?

Yes. We run gait analysis, foot pressure mat assessments, and sport-specific corrective programmes for runners, triathletes, and recreational athletes. Most running injuries are biomechanical — we help identify and fix the pattern, not just the pain.

How much does the Sole to Soil event cost?

Registration for Sole to Soil 2026 is KES 1,000 per participant. This includes either a Sole to Soil event t-shirt or an indigenous tree seedling to plant, plus movement coaching and event coordination.
